Friday Five - August 30th

It's time for this week's "Friday Five," and here are five of my favorites from around the web!

1. Mary Margaret tells the Story of Jonah

I came across this video a couple of years ago. But this week I was reminded of it when I saw an episode of "The American Bible Challenge." I hope that you have a minute to watch it, because she's adorable!!

2. Teach Your Child Scripture With a Bible Verse Puzzle!

The Purposeful Mom shares an easy and fun way to learn the verse of the week.

3. Finding God’s Boundaries for Friendships

This post from Grace for Moms is such a great read that I had to share it! I love the heart of the message, and I think you will too!!

4. 40 Breakfast Casseroles - Wow!

To be honest with you, I don't remember ever making a casserole for breakfast. I don't think it's ever even crossed my mind since we've just gotten used to the same things year after year. But when I came across this post from "Under the Table and Dreaming" offering 40 recipes I got excited about making some!

It was actually written as a Christmas post, but I just came across it today. Love it!

5. It is Well With My Soul

I've heard the song before and I've read this heart-wrenching story. When I saw the two of them put together I knew it was something I had to share.

  1. Happy Friday Darlene! I just shared that video with my father-in-law who also loves hymns. Thanks so much for sharing it. After a challenging few weeks, it was such a great encouragement. Have a wonderful long weekend!!!

  2. I have always loved the song "It is Well With My Soul" but I had never heard the story behind it. Wow...really puts things in perspective. Thank you so much for sharing.

  3. Darlene, I was wondering if you were going to add printable calendars for Oct., Nov., & Dec. I printed out July, Aug., & Sept. & have enjoyed using them as I like the format. Since it's Sept. already, I'm needing the next three months.
