Friday Five - November 2nd

It's Friday! Time for five of my favorites from around the web... Click the images to go to the site.

1. Jar of Encouragement

This is a great idea from "All Things Moms." If you're looking to make your husband a little gift, why not take a page from this blogger's husband and create a jar of encouragement?

2. "I am thankful for..." Thanksgiving Printables

Don't you just love these printables from Silverbox Creative Studios? It makes for an easy and pretty little project.

3. Setting up a Quiet Time Routine and Praying the Scriptures When Your Husband is Overwhelmed

I introduced you to Kathi Lipp earlier this week, and just after that she mentioned to me that she had a couple of free downloads for you. So I thought I'd wait and share them today in the Friday Five. Better late than never, right?

4. Give Thanks Banner

Another free printable, but so timely with Thanksgiving around the corner! Visit About.com

5. Avoiding the Pitfalls of a Broken Friendship

No one can hurt us as deeply as someone we've let past the armor and protection we live behind. Jealousy, gossip, abandonment are all possible when we engage in relationships beyond “how are you?”

Having said that, what’s the alternative? Read the rest at "Praise and Coffee."

  1. These are awesome, thank you so much! I always love seeing what else is out there in the blog world. It's so big, in many ways, and this is a great way to "meet" new blogs. Thanks again.

I know you can't read or respond to every comment and I understand why but I'm going to ask anyway. Where do you get the pictures that you use for your blog posts?

They are just so "perfect." I'd love to know where you get them. I don't want to just grab them somewhere as I might upset someone or get sued. So if you ever do a tutorial on your pictures, I'm in! Thanks!

    1. No problem. I get the majority of the photos from Thinkstock. I think it's one of the best places for images out there. My husband and I own a self publishing company and so I'm fortunate enough to have an account through there that I can use for both. Images are so crazy expensive these days! Four years ago I used to get the good ones for a dollar each, and now you have to search hard for some $2.00 ones. With Thinkstock we pay a yearly membership fee. Still not cheap but they are beautiful.
