Do you like a challenge? What about 21 of them? Good! Because starting next week I'm bringing you "The Ultimate Marriage Vow!"
With the help of Lisa Jacobson from Club31Women (who will be writing here on Wednesdays) I'm going to bring you 21 days of marriage encouragement each including a vow that will strengthen one area of our relationships.
If you want to join in come back here on Monday, January 7th to find out what the first vow will be. Continue to visit throughout the month as we work through all 21 vows!
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ~ 2 Peter 1:5-8
I'm really excited about this one!

ReplyDeleteI can't wait!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds great Darlene!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhy vows, instead of commitments? I am wary of making that many vows. 21 is a lot and what if I fail?
ReplyDeleteVow is a word often associated with marriage, so it felt like a good fit. You can read them to glean motivation, but you don't have to feel obligated to commit to anything other than God and your husband.
DeleteBut with that said they are vows to try to work on areas where we should be building, not to fulfill perfection in any way.
Happy New Year Darlene! May God bless you and yours abundantly. Looking forward to the wisdom of yourself and Lisa very much!
