Even more interesting to me was their follow-up interview. I really loved what this couple had to say. They talk about purity and preparing yourself through the years for your future spouse. It's a must see for single women or moms who are raising daughters. I just love these two, and thought that you might like it too!

ReplyDeleteThat was EXACTLY what I needed today! thank you so much for that laughing bride video!! :)
ReplyDeleteANd thank you for the linkup party, it's fabulous as always <3
This is just too sweet. :) But I so agree with what she has to say about how the actual act of consummation after the wedding is really so "you and me". It makes it (marriage) so real. I know that it was that way for my hubby and I. We waited and wowzers what a connection! :D Hope that made sense. Thanks for all that you do to encourage marriages. :)
ReplyDeleteThat video was funny. And I can testify to the opposite of what she said. When you do give yourself away before marriage, there is guilt, and it is so much harder to find that intimacy. I don't want to weep at the loss as I did when we first married, because the Lord has brought healing to my heart. But if I could go back and have a do-over, and stay pure...what I wouldn't give for that.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the Lord is a redeemer, and HE is my salvation. My physical purity (or lack thereof) does not define my worth in His eyes. I see that now. For years, I did not. Videos like this are so hard for those precious women who were not careful to guard the gift of their body and their hearts. I know better now, and my daughters walk in an innocence and purity that I never knew. And I praise the Lord for that.
