Free Printable! 31 Prayer Cards for Kids

I received a letter in the mail the other day from a mom who told me that her son, Francois, was asking for some prayer cards of his own. How could I resist that request? *smile* Hi, Francois!

Since the Christmas season is upon us, I also got to thinking that maybe these printable cards would make good stocking stuffers!

Thank you so much to the facebook group for helping me come up with this list. Each card has a one sentence prayer and a Bible verse on it. Parents may want to help younger children with them as some of the Bible verses could use explaining.

What I've done with prayer cards in the past is that I've printed them on glossy card stock, hole punched the corner and held them together with a binder ring. It's a great way to keep them together! I'm hooked on binder rings by the way! LOL

I've divided the download into two parts because it's a huge file. So you need to download one and then the other (6 pages in total).

Please note, if you have trouble with the download it could be one of two reasons:

1. Your computer can't handle the file size. These are very large files because of the color.
2. The server is busy because so many other people are downloading. If so please wait a few hours or try the next day.

If you are still having trouble, please email me and I'll assist you: darlene@darleneschacht(dot)net

  2. Thank you for these wonderful cards. I use the husband prayer cards all the time and love them. These cards for kids will be so good for our younger boys and putting them in their stockings is an even better idea. Thank you and be blessed!

  3. These are great! I love the idea...is there any chance you'd do them in a Bible version that is a little easier for kids to understand? (NIV, NASB, NIrV?)

    1. I understand your concern about an easier Bible version. However, there are so many King James Bible readers that I often get requests to change it so I started using KJV for everything. It's too time consuming to create both.

    2. I love that they are KJV! Thanks so much, it is TERRIBLY hard to find a printable that isn't another version so you are doing a huge favor for me :)

  4. Hi there! I'm here via Pinterest, and I have to tell you that this set of prayer cards is a gift from the Lord to me! In the past couple of days, God has shown me that in 2013 my husband and I need to teach our children how to pray the Scriptures. I had barely begun to consider the practical ways we can accomplish this, when I saw this post, and -- voila! What a perfect, ready-to-go first step for us to take in the new year! Thanks so much for being an instrument of God, and I wish you and your family a peaceful and blessed Christmas!

  7. Wow! These are fantastic!!! My children will have a tangible prayer list in their very own hands! Thank you so much! You've done a great job...

God bless you as you abide in Him!

  8. Thank you for posting these! I will be making them for the other moms in my prayer group.

I believe #11 should be "To be patient" not 'patience' maybe?

Also, are you willing to share the source document so we could change the version to NIV (or some other version)? If not, I understand, but I thought I would ask.

Thank you again for posting these and the other prayer cards. Super cute and very helpful!

    1. Oh, no. I was hoping there wasn't a spelling mistake. Argh. I'll go look and update the file. :(

The easiest way to update them with a different version would be to split the pdf. Open each page in Photoshop and type a different version on the cards. Then flatten the image. That's what I would do. I don't have source document. I created jpg cards and then placed them on one template and then created a PDF. Used the same template for each.

When I've created prayer cards in the past I've had so many readers saying, I love them but they aren't KJV!

  10. #7 - Shew??? I was ready to print these on cardstock for my kiddos but not with typos.

    1. Thanks for pointing it out. Actually it's not a typo. I'm using the King James version of the Bible so it's old English. So many of my readers prefer and request this version so I went with it on these.

  12. I had a problem with the server today. I'm working on fixing it tonight. Sorry!

  13. Hi! I wasn't sure if you fixed this, as I am not able to get the cards. It opens another tab that says online storage - download file but it is blank and doesn't ever load anything. Thanks.

    1. Linda,

I'm not sure why you are having that problem. I checked the link just now and it's working for me. The other problem we had was fixed a while ago. It was the server I was with. But now it's working fine. It could be that your computer is rejecting the file? I'm not sure. It takes me to the download storage link and then I hit download file and then it asks me if I'm sure. I hit "keep" this file and it downloads the PDF. I wish I could offer you more info than that.

  14. Hello! I was wondering if this sis something I could print off to give to someone. I support a local faith based recovery facility for women with children, and I would love to print and laminate 2-3 copies for them to keep in their library. Is this something I can do without breaking any laws as it prints your information on it? Thank you!

  15. I just wanted to say "thank you" for using the KJV for these verses-it's so hard to find printables with it!

  16. I am so pleased to have found these printable prayer cards! I am struggling to download these. Is there an easier way? My iPad can't finish downloading the files for some reason

I am definitely sharing your links in my next post!
