When Thomas Nelson asked me if I'd be willing to review Waiting in Wonder, I jumped at the chance. I know that a lot of you are are just starting a family, and I also know that the time we spend waiting for the arrival of a little one can be time well spent.
This book guides you through that time of waiting and wonder in the most beautiful way by leading you toward prayer and praise every day of your pregnancy.
Each day offers a bite-sized word of encouragement, followed by a page for reflection. This is the place where you write down your thoughts, your prayers, and your praise; creating a personal keepsake that you can hand down to your child.
I can't imagine the blessing this book would have been to me and my children, had it been available when I was pregnant. Unfortunately it wasn't around back then, but thanks to Catherine Claire Larson it is now!

I met Stacy Williams online a couple of years ago through the blogging world, but last fall I had the pleasure of meeting her in person at the Allume conference. Thankfully we were able to sit down for coffee a couple of times and enjoy a time of fellowship. I love her personality, and I love her love for Jesus! That's a great combination, isn't it?
On our way back to the airport however, we had a little mishap that got the two of us walking through a confusing parking lot for about 20 minutes. We won't point any fingers as to who lost the car. *wink*
Anyhow, about 15 minutes into it, I looked over at Stacy and said, "This extra time together is a blessing. It might not be ideal, but it's definitely fun!"
The thing about Stacy is that she suffers with chronic pain. It's something that most of us can't even imagine, but for those of you who do suffer with chronic pain this devotional eBook is a wonderful little companion
Stacy takes you on a journey through her story of living with 19 years of severe, chronic pain and a variety of other challenges. Each day in this devotional is a mix of God’s Word, thought-provoking questions and examples from the author’s life and prayers, which will hopefully help you seek God in prayer for the circumstances you face in life.
If you’re ready to see the challenging things in your life through a different lens-the lens of eternity-then this book is for you.

ReplyDeleteI have to laugh at the looking for a car. One time I wandered around a crowded parking garage clicking the alarm on my car that flashed the lights and beeped when I hit the button. Eventually I heard my car and followed the sound until I got there to find one of the security guards watching my car flash and beep until I explained that I'd "lost" my car. He smiled and walked away. I hope I gave him a good story to tell his family at dinner that night!
I love your blog! Thank you so much for the linky party!
